I have officially been a full time business owner since March 27.
Wait, what?!
It’s been almost 3 months and I still can hardly believe it!! Even as I write that I think: “There is no way this is my life!”!! I think that’s why it’s taken me so long to write this post! So much goes into being full-time and my journey to #ontheroadtofulltime was full of so many highs & lows.
I’m still processing through all the changes that have taken place in the last few months, and I realized that I don’t want to be silent about it anymore! There are SO MANY of you struggled to make your dream a full time job. Making a business a BUSINESS and not a hobby is HARD WORK!!!!! And you know what? We should be CELEBRATING the highs AND lows of the journey!!! I want to walk through the process with you, and share what I have learned.

For the first 17 months of my businesses, I worked 40 hours a week. In that time frame, I had 13 weddings, 16 styled shoots, started a conference and hosted 2 of those conferences. It was crazy town, friends!!! But I knew my goal was to be full time, and that drive pushed me to keep going when I wanted to give up.
My last day at my full time job was March 27. That weekend, Round 2 of Creative at Heart took place in Roanoke, VA. What a way to celebrate!! I was able to spend time with some of my dearest friends, see life breathed into big dreamers from all around the world, and see a huge piece of my heart continue to grow.
I decided that I wanted to reach out to others who are #ontheroadtofulltime … because we’re all in this together!!! I’m going to be starting a blog series dedicated to sharing helpful tips and encouraging big dreamers who are on their journey. I want you to use the hashtag #ontheroadtofulltime so that I can follow along on your journey!!! And that’s not all … I’m also going to be hosting a FREE Webinar later this month!!!

You can register for this free webinar here! (Seats are limited and this one will not be recorded).
Are you #ontheroadtofulltime? What do you hope to learn from this new blog series?

Hey Kat! I know I’m late to the party, but I admire what you’ve done with DSE a lot and value your input. I would LOVE to hear about how you dealt with the times when you felt discouraged and weren’t sure if your goals were realistic!
