What an amazing weekend, y’all!!!!
It was a wedding weekend I will never forget, and one that lasted longer than the typical Friday-Saturday event! I headed down to Suffolk bright and early on Thursday with flowers pouring out of the tan man (boxes of garland & my ladder were literally strapped to the roof!)!! One of my amazing interns, Hope, came with me to assist in the design of 12 lush centerpieces, 6 bouquets, 1 bride bouquet, 12 bouts and 4 corsages. We spent Thursday & Friday not only designing flowers, but also setting up at the venue space. Due to the 90% chance of rain, we were working with Plan B which meant all the vendors were working ben harder to bring this wedding dream to life!!
3 clear top tents, 4 marquees, one massive stage, 8 chandeliers and countless yards of drape later, the space was TRANSFORMED and I am still in awe of all we accomplished!!!! I can’t wait to see the images from Luke & Ashley Photography!!! For now, here are a few iPhone peeks:
While I was busy down in Suffolk, my parents were in Richmond for the VA State Fair Giant Pumpkin Weigh-off. Yes, you read that right!!! My dad grown Giant Pumpkins!!! Not only that, but he beat his OWN state record with a 1,340.7 pounder!!! AH!! Talk about a GIANT!!!!! I am SO proud of him and wish I could have been there to see everyone’s face when he pulled this outta the trailer!!! Here are a few pictures I stole from family on Facebook:)
How was your weekend?! It’s STILL raining here, so I’m cuddled up with Knox for a work-day on the couch! I’ve got another beautiful wedding this weekend & then I’m off to GA for Pursuit!! Can’t wait to spend time relaxing with new & old friends:)
xo!! kat
