I know I told you that today would be a full Creative recap… but I lied.

I’m still processing. My brain is still wrapping itself around everything that just took place… and I’m not quite ready to share it with you yet. Trust me, I will!!:) But not just yet.

Actually, if I really think about it, today’s tonight’s post IS about Creative… just in a different way. I’ve thought long and hard about my word for 2015. It’s scary to give 365 days ONE word, isn’t it?! It’s a bit terrifying, actually. To sit down and think what do I want to LEARN, what do I want o FOCUS on, what does the Lord wan to teach me… that’s a lot of pressure!!

At the end of December, while everyone else was posting about their plans for an amazing 2015 and working on Powersheets & gearing for a new year, I was recovering from the flu, wrapping up my wedding season with an NYE wedding & kicking off Round 1 of C@H. To say it was rushed is an understatement. I have not picked up my powersheets. My 2015 planner isn’t completely ready to go. And I still need time to digest it all. But you know what, friends? THAT’S OKAY!!! I love that Lara says “there’s nothing magical about January 1“… because there ISN’T!!! So if you haven’t figured out your yearly goals, or you haven’t started off the year “just the way you want”, I’m here to tell you that that’s OKAY!!!! Me either!!!! I’ve started off my year rushing around & finalizing conference plans… And while that isn’t a BAD thing, and I am SO HAPPY I had such an amazing NYE wedding & that I kicked off my year with C@H… I haven’t had time to truly sit & be still, until now.

I haven’t had time to truly process what 2015 would look like. While I did write 15 Goals for 2015, I haven’t been still in them. I haven’t digested what they mean & what I want to focus on this year… until now.

While attended C@H one word kept coming back to me. One word I want to be the highlight of my year: Intentionality.

Intentionality | Noun | the fact of being deliberate or purposive

Pretty amazing, right? Being DELIBERATE and having PURPOSE.

Yes. Oh, friends, THIS is what I want more than ANYTHING!!!

2014 was INCREDIBLE. It was MAGNIFICENT and AMAZING!!! It was also a whirlwind. And I never had a chance to breathe. I never had a chance to be deliberate & purposeful.

2015 means intentionality. It means finding meaning in quiet conversation. It means making every single 2015 bridal experience one of purpose. It means focusing every single action on the intention behind it.

2 days ago, I sat in a room with 84 creatives… and I cried. I cried tears of happiness & tears of joy. I cried because I SAW it. I truly SAW what the Lord had been trying to tell me. I truly began to see the PURPOSE I had been missing.

See, ladies, none of it matters if theres not purpose behind it. Who cares if I post 5 blog posts a week if they aren’t INTENTIONAL. Who cares how many instagram followers or how many weddings I book if there’s no HEART behind it all!! I don’t want to book weddings & plan conferences if there’s no meaning behind it. I don’t want to focus on NUMBERS over PEOPLE. I don’t want to focus on what I WANT to have vs. what I DO have.

I want to start a living a life worth living. I want to build a business with purpose. I want to see lives change around me because I’m taking the time to NOTICE; I’m tired of rushing around focusing on to-dos & not taking a minute to soak it all in. I’m so much more a Martha than a Mary – I tend to lean more toward “what must I do?!” rather than “what is Lord trying to teach me”. And while the to-dos aren’t always BAD, they aren’t always NEEDED either!!! I want to take the time to pause and see what’s happening around me. I want to be intentional.

2015 might just be my best year ever. And not because I book the most brides or I sell out conferences or my business “grows” more than ever… but because I make purposeful, deliberate & INTENTIONAL decisions in EVERY area of my life.

And I’m pretty excited to get started:)
