Happy Thursday, friends!
Today’s Dinner Dates post is about 2 little words that go a long, long way: Thank You.
In the hustle and bustle of tackling our to-dos and trying to get everything done, we tend to forget the simplest little things. I think it’s so important to email our vendors after a wedding or a styled shoot and thank them for the time they spent working the event!! Everyone is putting in SO MUCH time & effort & we want them to know that they are appreciated.
Gift giving is my love language… It’s the love language I like to SHOW others, meaning I love to give people gifts:) Christmas is SO MUCH fun for me (but it does make my husband a little nervous about my spending:)!! I want to encourage other vendors I work with and show them that they ARE appreciated and I VALUE the hard work they are doing!!
After every wedding, add “thanking vendors” to your workflow! A quick email goes a LONG way!! After every styled shoot, do the same thing!! For vendors that you truly felt went above & beyond for you or you just love & want to encourage, send them something special!! A Starbucks card, a lovely candle… it doesn’t have to be expensive to be meaningful or genuine. And I think you’ll see how much the receiver appreciated you going the extra mile to make them feel loved & encouraged!!
This week I received 2 sweet gifts from vendors, as well as a few thank you notes from brides. I LOVE that!!! There’s something so special about getting a package or reading a handwritten note.
When was the last time you told someone you worked with “thank you”? I challenge you to add “send 3 thank you emails” to your to-do list today. I promise they’ll put a smile on your face, and an even bigger one on the person receiving it!!:)
