Friends – it’s December!!! Can you even believe it?! Matt and I spent yesterday afternoon picking out our Christmas tree & filling our home with Christmas cheer. I just LOVE this time of year – so, so much!!! Matt and I firmly believe in waiting to celebrate Christmas until AFTER Thanksgiving. This year was harder for me because Thanksgiving is so late & Christmas is so early – I didn’t feel like we’d have enough time to truly ENJOY our Christmas décor. But, we waited anyway and I was SO EXCITED to pull out all my Snowmen & Santa’s and hang our stockings yesterday!! Tonight we’re watching a Christmas movie & decorating our very first tree together… yessss.
But, before I get too caught up in everything Christmas, let’s not forget Thanksgiving:
1. Matt and I enjoyed not one, but four Thanksgiving meals. I AM SO SICK OF TURKEY.
2. Besides Thanksgiving, do you eat turkey a lot? I don’t remember ever eating a home-cooked-turkey-meal besides T-giving. It just seems weird to cook a turkey any other day of the year.
3. I am SO glad No-Shave-November is over. Matt and his brother had a little competition going all month. Then starting Friday they began to shave their beards off bit by bit. Saturday morning they walked down stairs looking like this (insert picture below). Let’s just say I’m glad it’s December!
4. We started researched cameras – y’all there are SO many options out there!! We found one we like, so fingers crossed we find a good deal!
5. We picked out our very first Christmas tree last night. She’s a beauty:) Have you gotten yours yet? What kind do you and your family have? Pine, Spruce, Fir, Real, Fake?
Tomorrow’s post is going to be all about my December To-Do’s, so if you have any you want to share, I’d love to hear them!
