NINE DAYS, friends. Can you even believe it? Christmas will be here SO soon!!! I still have some baking, wrapping, laundry & packing to do before I can officially say that I’m “ready”… but when are we ever really ready for Christmas?!

This past weekend was busy, busy, busy. I feel like I barely had time to sit down, so that means today was extra hard to get out of bed! Here’s a recap of all the Christmas fun:

1. Matt and I frequently remind ourselves that we turned into “that couple” – you know, the couple who spends most evenings cooking dinner at home and watching Duck Dynasty. Well, Friday night we decided to mix-it-up a bit! We drove to Staunton & ate at this AMAZING Italian restaurant & then looked at Christmas lights. There’s a park there that allows different organizations to come in & decorate, so we drove through the park and got to look at all the different lights. From Jesus to Charlie Brown to dancing Gingerbread men – they had it all.

2. Saturday was Bridal Spa Day with fellow 2013 Katelyn James Brides. It was SO sweet of Katelyn & Michael!! I had so much fun meeting the other brides, talking about our weddings & newlywed life, and getting a fabulous mani/pedi. We all joked that it seemed like we already knew each other because we follow her blog religiously:)

3. Shopping at Short Pump in the pouring rain? Ugh. But I did finish up all my shopping (yay) and may or may not have found a good deal or two for myself:)

4. Skinny Peppermint Mocha, anyone?? I tried my VERY FIRST one on Saturday when I met with a 2014 bride. DELICIOUS!! (Of course I had to Instagram it, since my Red Door Spa nails matched the famous Red Cup:) I’m well aware that kind of makes me a loser, ha.)

5. Sunday I got to spend the day with my 2 best friends from college. We met up for lunch, exchanged gifts & just got to catch up on life. I miss them SO MUCH, and am so glad we planned a day together.

This week is a BIG, EXCITING, AMAZING week in the DSE office, so be sure to keep coming back to the blog for all the details:)
