Since all of our Christmas Cards hit the post office last week, I can finally share them with you:)
I started following Sincerely Jackie on Instagram & I became a huge fan of her work! She offered Christmas Cards through her Etsy shop & I fell in love with this particular design. Isn’t that holly berry so fun?! Matt and I decided that instead of using a wedding photo, we really wanted Knox to be in the picture. So, we dressed in our best plaid & had my mama take a few shots of us. It was REALLY difficult to get Knox to hold still (haha), but we managed to get this shot out of him. We ordered a set of 50 cards/envelopes and she actually sent us a few extra which made it easier when I made mistakes! Being the crafter that I am, I decided I wanted to add a few special touches to our card. I used my Tag Punch from Michael’s to cut out red tags for every card. One side has either a Christmas Tree or a December 25 stamp on it, while the other says “Luke 2:11”. I used red & white twine to wrap the tag around the card; and on the back of the envelope, I used our address stamp and some festive washi tape.
I’m really, really happy with the way they turned out!! Christmas is our favorite holiday, so it was really important to me to make our first Christmas card extra-special. The hardest part was deciding on the address list; I thought 50 would be plenty, but I didn’t take into consideration that we sent out over 100 wedding invitations! Oops. Both of our families are fairly large, so after we factored in all the family, we only had about 15 left for friends. Lesson learned: order about 70 cards. So, if you didn’t get one this year, we DO still love you & wish you a very, Merry Christmas!!!:)
