This.
When my sweet friends Natalie & Krista approached me about The Rising Tide Society, it was so hard to keep it under wraps!!! I wanted to share this exciting news with EVERYONE, and now I finally can!!:)
Because I can’t describe it any better than they can: “The Rising Tide Society is a place for Creative Entrepreneurs, Weekend Warriors, and Small Business CEOs to grow and thrive in the spirit of Community over Competition. On the first Tuesday of every month, #TuesdaysTogether Gatherings will be popping up from Boston, Massachusetts to Augusta, Georgia and everywhere in between. Whether you’re meeting privately in your living room with two of your closest business friends or joining a local coffeeshop gathering being led by one of our industry leaders – Use the hashtag, join us, and make waves.”
See, friends, we all crave it. It’s that missing piece in the life of a boss lady: the thirst for community. The desire to know that you’re not in this alone … the need to have someone to text, call or grab coffee with on a bad day… the thirst to be together.
The Creative at Heart Conference was born from that thirst, from that desire to see ‘togetherness’ brought to a whole new level. I decided I was tired of complaining about a lack of community; I decided to start making it. I wanted to see creatives of all crafts and all backgrounds come together as one creative at heart. I have been so humbled and inspired by the C@H Movement, and The Rising Tide Society adds so beautifully to it.
The Shenandoah Valley can be a desolate place, friends. There have been many days/nights where I’ve longed for a nearby friend to grab a last minute cup of coffee with and share the day’s struggles… but I haven’t really found that. Our area is absolutely stunning, but we’re spread out from each other & the rest of the state! Most of us are small town-ers with big dreams and even bigger hearts. While we have jaw-dropping mountain views and adorable one-light towns, as boss ladies we can feel so alone and apart from the rest of the industry … but that stops today. Now, we have a place. Now, we have a safe haven. Now, we have a community to share our hopes, share our fears and breath life into the desperate places of our hearts. From coffee to dinner to laughter and tears, #TuesdaysTogether is going to blossom in the valley we call home, and I can’t WAIT!!

Next Tuesday (May 5), I am hosting a Shenandoah Valley meet-up at Byers Street Bistro from 6:30-8:30pm! My hope is to see ladies (and gents!) from Harrisonburg, Staunton, Charlottesville, Lynchburg, Lexington, Roanoke and MORE!!! It’s going to be the such an incredible time to get to know new friends, catch up with old and start a fire in the hearts of Shenandoah Valley creatives!!!
If you have questions about attending, please email me!! Come late, leave early, do what you need to do.. I’d just love for you to join me for as long as you can:)
