It’s time for Part 2 of my Pacific adventure!! I am SO excited to share the last half of the Great Photo Escape with you!!!
Before heading to Queenstown (my favorite city), we visit Coramandel! I LOVED this beach!!! We had to hike to get to the beautiful beach, and the scenery along the way was stunning!! (The drive there was also a bit crazy due to the tiny dirt roads & windy mountain passes!)! Coromandel has a quaint little area with restaurants and ice cream, and after we hiked and spent the day on the beach, we drove to the Natural Hot Spring on the way home!! You literally dig a hole in the sand to make your very own hot tub!! It was insane!!!! We didn’t spend a lot of time there, but just seeing it & sinking my feet into the HOT sand was so cool!
Here are some of my favorite pictures from Coromandel:
After our day at Coromandel, we woke up very early to fly to Queenstown. Queenstown was by far my favorite destination!! I LOVED this city and if I had to move anywhere in the world, I would choose Queenstown in a heartbeat (and I’ve never said that about any other city!)! As soon as we landed in that tiny airport, surrounded by gorgeous mountains, I knew I would never want to leave!!
I went shopping, enjoyed INCREDIBLE food, had so many Flat Whites (my new favorite drink), went budgee swinging & took a Lord of the Rings horseback tour (y’all, it was amazing!). Our AirBnB was within walking distance of town along an incredible lakeside path. And if you looked out our bedroom, kitchen and even bathroom window, you couldn’t help but catch your breath at the beauty surrounding you. Enjoy my favorites from this amazing city!!
Our backyard view!!!
While we were in Queenstown, we spent one of our days driving to the Milford Sound. The drive was BREATHTAKING and the cruise we took in the sound was amazing! Of course, our 90’s sing-along during the 4-hour drive home wasn’t bad either:) If you make it to South Island, you have to add Milford Sound to your “must-see” list!!
The water is so pure, you can drink it! Love this pic of Kimmie getting her glacier water:)
And last, but certainly not least, here are a few pictures from my budgie swinging adventure!!!:)
Queenstown, I’ll never forget your beauty. I promise you, I’m coming back!
Amazing images by Natalie Franke Photography & Hope Taylor Photography!! Thanks for letting me blog them, friends!!
