It’s happening. Wedding season has officially kicked off and I’m about to head to the Marriott Ranch for another beautiful bride’s big day this weekend!!
You may have noticed that some days the blog has been quieter than others. In the last few weeks, my usually 5 posts a week has gone down to 4. My word for this year is Intentionality and I want to be intentional in ALL areas of my life – this blog included.
The last few weeks of have been a whirlwind, friends. I feel like the world “whirlwind” describes A LOT of my life in the last year… constantly moving and shift and striving. I’m officially full-time (WHAT?!), I hosted my first workshop (!!!), C@H Round 3 sold out in 2 hours (I can’t even!), BIG things are ahead for the rest of the C@H movement and I’ve got 12 brides in 11 weeks (AH! It’s going to be amazing!)!!
And as if that wasn’t enough, Matt and I are house-hunting (during wedding season – we’re crazy!) and making big plans for our future, and I’m also making some really incredible shifts in the structure and heart behind DSE.
So much has been happening that I think I haven’t haven’t had time to really soak it all in. And I want to. I want to just push pause and praise the Lord for blessing me and my life with this dream.
I’m going to try to do that more with this blog. I want to share snippets of our house hunting adventures, sweet DSE Bride’s on their wedding day, and more details about C@H … and I want it to be intentional. I refuse to write just to write. I don’t want to fill 5 days of blogging with empty words; I want you to really know me, and me to know you. There needs to be purpose behind every letter typed.
That’s my promise to you, friends! 3-4 days a week of intentional blog posts about life, weddings, DSE and C@H. What do you want to read about? How can I help? I’d love to know what you think your missing or what you love already about this little space?
xo!! kat
P.S. thanks for the fun new pic, Emily! I just loved our time in Charleston!!
P.P.S yes, she’s a bumps/births/babies photographer but no, I am NOT pregnant:)

I found you through Instagram. I love all the pink. Have you noticed how much you say ‘friends’? Love your style. Good luck finding a home. It took my husband and I ten months to find the perfect home.
I love hearing about your brides and your mentees and their businesses, SO excited about your house hunting (I was an interior designer in another life), LOVE hearing about your other business ventures (C@H, styled shoots, workshops, etc.)
Basically……everything. LOL! I’m so sorry – that wasn’t helpful at all but I hope it brightened your day just a bit. 😀
Keep doing Dinner Dates, I love those! And I can’t wait to see/hear about house hunting!
I am excited to read about more C@H. I am dying to go to one and plan to sometimes soon.. building up to that and reading about it is so encouraging. I also would love to hear more about your wedding day adventures and your sweet brides on their wedding days. Maybe you could so do one once a month on your faith and how your faith has served you through this journey to get to being a Full Time Small Business Owner!!!! My other thought was maybe some on how you are living your year intentionally and ways you have done it. 🙂 just lots of thoughts! Love your blog and reading it. It is so inspiring! <3
HAHAH! Love that you had to clarify what I specialize in, and that you’re not preggo! 🙂
