Dinner Dates: Just Do It.

I know this might sound like a repetitive Nike ads… but just do it.

Stop making excuses or telling yourself you don’t have the means… get off your pretty little bottom & make the magic happen. You will.not.regret.it.:)

I styled my first shoot 10 months ago; my first DSE Wedding took place 4 months ago. Call it crazy, call it fate, call it Jesus (that’s what I do!)… regardless of what you want to think, there is something BEAUTIFUL about seeing an idea take shape, about throwing caution to the wind & just DOING.

Some dreams take more planning than others. There are a few that have been in the works for what feels like forever, and then there are others that fall together so quickly & so wonderfully, you know it was meant to be. They take work. And courage. And tears & sweat & late nights.

But if you have any idea you want to bring to life, or a vision you want to see take shape… YOU are perfectly capable of doing it!!! You’re a creative. That means you’re creative:) You have ideas & passions & I firmly believe if you set your mind to it, you can do it.

But it’s scary, right? Maybe you’ve never orchestrated anything like this before, and you don’t know where to start.

Regardless of your reasons, you have to take the leap of faith & put yourself out there, however scary that may be. Reach out to vendors you admire & want to collaborate with or seek advice from. I’ll tell you a secret… most of them would LOVE to!!! And if they say “no” due to timing or a busy schedule or just because they’re mean (because some people are), just move on. Don’t take it personally. Don’t give up. Just revaluate your plan of attack & keep going.

Confidence is key. Confidence will get you places. BE CONFIDENT in your dream, in your business, in your vision and in your abilities. Others will see that, and believe you:) There have been times I’ve sent emails asking CRAZY questions; there have been times I’ve Skyped or phone chatted women I really, really admire and asked them something completely ridiculous… and I was shaking inside. And I practiced what I wanted to say in the car & in the shower. I had knots in my stomach, and for a hot second I even thought of giving up & not even trying… but then I did. And big dreams were born. And creative friendships were merged. And it was beautiful.

Stop telling yourself “no” when you really need to say “yes”. And just do it.
