Weekend Wrap-Up: VT football

This weekend FLEW by!! It literally feels like I was just sitting at my desk on Friday and now, I’m back again. Today is rainy & foggy & the temperature ACTUALLY feels like Fall around here… but this weekend it was HOT! 85 degrees in October … what is going on?!

Matt and I usually attend one Virginia Tech football game a year. It’s become sort of a tradition in our relationship, and we have so much fun tailgating & cheering on the Hokies with friends! Over the summer when we picked the Oct 5th game vs. UNC, I pictured jackets, scarfs & boots. Welp, instead I got capris, flip-flops & sunburn! The weather was crazy! Here’s a few weekend highlights:

1. Whoever decided to sell Slushi’s during the football game was a genius. $4 for a large, amazing Mango slushi definitely made the heat a little more bearable!
2. His family makes me laugh SO much!! When Matt gets around his older brother and sister they feed off of each other & I really don’t stop laughing. It’s that sarcastic, witty humor that never fails to make me smile. I love all their family stories and how they really never, EVER let you live anything down!
3. Is anyone else having battery issues with the new iPhone update??? My phone will NOT hold a charge. By 3pm every day it’s under 20% battery, even when I don’t use my phone that much – a few texts here & there, some social media stalking, no pandora, no iTunes radio. What’s the deal??
4. I am 100% in love with my 6 month old nephew!! He really is the cutest boy EVER! Matt and I got to spend a lot of time with him this weekend and I’m so glad. It’s crazy how fast he’s growing up and I know by Thanksgiving he’ll have already changed so much! (P.S. He’s 6 months old and weighs 28lbs; he was 10lbs when he was born! He really does look like a toddler and not an infant!!)
