I always knew that every year I wanted to have professional images taken with Matt. Pictures have always been so, so important to me – I believe wholeheartedly in documenting moments in time, sharing them with others & printing them to enjoy. While our wedding pictures mean so much to me, I have also loved documenting each year of our marriage.

Each year stands for something, means so much & I want to be able to look back in 15 years at allllll the anniversary sessions we’ve captured over time!

Our first year of marriage, my sweet friend Ashley captured us in our town home; Matt and I both have March birthdays & I thought an in-home, birthday-inspired session would be fun! Our second year, we did a coaching session with our mentors & friends, Katelyn & Michael. They documented our wedding & now we have 2 year celebratory pics (if you follow their story you know they’re currently building a house – we shot our session with them on their land prior to them breaking ground on the house!! We joked that we were “standing in their living room”, ha!).

This year, we were celebrating our anniversary during our road-trip to Colorado for Creative at Heart. It seemed fitting to documented this third year of marriage in a new location on our summer adventure!! Alicia Lacey has become such a dear friend over the last year, and I was so, so happy that the timing worked out for her to capture this for us!! We met up with her in Colorado Springs at Garden of the gods for sunrise session. The scenery was incredible & the wildlife that decided to join the fun!? Priceless!!

Alicia – thank you so, so much!! You were a joy to work with and we love these!! You captured such a special time in our marriage & I’m so thankful we could experience this with a friend. Now you have to come over for dinner & see where we hung them in our home!:)
