What an AMAZING weekend!!!
This year for Christmas, Matt and I decided to go and do something fun instead of buying each other gifts. We LOVE Christmas, so visiting the Christmas festivities at Williamsburg was on our bucket list. We planned to go the first weekend in December, and it just so happened that 2 weeks before our trip, the sweetest bride contacted me about assisting her with the final planning & coordinating the day-of! It worked out PERFECTLY and I’m so happy this unexpected wedding was added to my calendar, AND I spent the weekend away with my husband!!
Matt and I drove down on Friday and spent the night exploring Busch Gardens Christmastown… if you have never been you HAVE TO GO!!! Friends. It was AMAZING!!!! Have you ever seen the movie Santa Claus? It reminded me of the North Pole in that movie!!!! It was INCREDIBLE!! And, believe it or not, that actually had some rides open & an amazing roller coaster!! I am SUCH a baby, so for me to ride a roller coaster that goes into a “black forest” at 9:30 at night having NEVER seen the loops & turns was a BIG deal (ha!)! I’m SO glad Matt and I could walk around the park and can’t wait to go back again!! (Disclaimer: Don’t judge my iPhone photos too harshly!!)
Even the rain on Saturday couldn’t dim the beauty of the sweet details or the happiness of the bride and groom! It was my smallest wedding to date – only 63 guests (including the bridal party & bride & groom!). I LOVED the intimate feel and how all the details turned out!!
On Sunday, Matt and I walked the streets of historic Williamsburg and I loved stepping back in time… I’m such a nerd and LOVE to read; some of my favorite books are from the 1700 and 1800’s!! I fell in LOVE with the carpet in ballroom of the Governor’s palace & enjoyed walking into all the cute shops!
This might be one of the longest Weekend Wrap-Up posts I’ve done, but our weekend was full of so much goodness you know I had to share!:) Happy Monday, friends!! I hope you taking time to enjoy this beautiful season & not getting caught up in all your to-dos:)
