For the next 3 days, I’ll be spending my time with the wonderful Rhiannon Bosse and the speakers and attendees of Trouvaille 3.0. To say ‘I’m excited’ is truly an understatement! I have been looking forward to this experience for over 6 months, and am so excited to soak in all the knowledge with my dear friend Laura!
Like most creative small business women, I’m self taught. I did not go to school for a degree in wedding planner or floral design, and have learned a lot about running a business, working with brides and designing flowers through trial & error!! I have been hoping to attend a Trouvaille experience since Rhi’s first one last year, because I have longed for a chance to sit down with fellow wedding planners and florists and hone in on my skills. I don’t care how old I get or how long I am in business, I never, ever want to stop learning & growing & challenging myself! I’m so honored to be apart of the third one, and so excited to learn from some of the industries most talented minds. I can’t wait to dig into the core of DSE, practice the art of floral design under the eye of Steve Moore (pinch me!) and even take a watercolor course with Jenny Sanders (and then laugh at what I create!)! It’s going to be a much needed time of rest, rejuvenation and friendship.
While we won’t have too much time to explore, we do have a free night tomorrow night and I would love your suggestions!! Where should we go? What are the best places to eat? Any site-seeing we should try to squeeze in?!
And because I don’t have a pretty image to share, we’ll just reminisce about these gorgeous blooms…
xo!! kat
