DSE One-on-Ones are quickly becoming my new favorite thing!! To be honest, I was really nervous when I first announced them because I thought “what if no one wants to talk to me?!”! But I have a heart for business owners, a desire to build intentional community and I selfishly want to get to know ALL of you!!! So I threw my fears out the window & announced it anyway!

I’m SO happy to be chatting with fellow wedding planners & small business owners, and I can’t WAIT to introduce all of you to these amazing business owners & big dreamers over the next few weeks!!:)

I had the opportunity to Skype with Christine of Celebrations of Love Events and Nellie of Events by Nellie on Tuesday and it was incredible!!! These two friends own separate businesses in Kansas City and I LOVED getting to know them!!! I LOVE that social media brings together business owners from all over the country!! Kansas City, friends!!! AH! I’ve never even BEEN there and now I want to go so bad so I can hug these two in person!!!!:)

Nellie & Christine have owned their businesses for a few years now and I KNOW they are going to do big things!! They both work full-time, Nellie is expecting a sweet little one (!!) and Christine is getting married next year (!!); with all of that change happening in their lives, we talked a lot about time management and finding balance!! Of course, Emily Ley’s Simplified Planner came up and so did Elle & Company’s Blog Planning printable!! We talked about the most effective ways to tackle a growing business while working full-time, how I blog plan, the best ways to use Instagram, styled shoots tips, pricing & the most effective ways to give our very best to our brides.

We talk about SO MUCH in that 2 hour time frame and I have no doubt we could have talked for 2 MORE hours!!! I truly admire how they have both been able to balance weddings while working full-time for YEARS (I’ve only been doing it one year & it is TOUGH!!).I can’t WAIT to follow along on their journey as their lives change & businesses grow!! Doing these One-On-Ones is so good for my soul, y’all. I LOVE talking with like-minded women because let’s face it, unless you’re IN the industry, you don’t really understand it. It’s REFRESHING to chat with women who GET it and who uplift me just as much as I (hope) to encourage them!!!

Nellie + Christine – thank you ladies SO MUCH for being the breath of fresh air I needed!! I loved getting to know you & I hope I get to hug you both in person one day!!!:)
