Well this is fun!! It’s my BIRTHDAY today,  y’all!!

I wanted to throw a little virtual party and decided that today was as good a day as any to introduce the NEW LOOK for the KS SHOP!!! HOORAY!

Bri has been working so hard behind the scenes and I’m SO HAPPY with the results!!! You’ll find all the old favorites AND I’ve got a few more in the pipeline I’ll be rolling out over the next few weeks/months.

And because today IS my birthday & I’m trying to not think of 28 as one year closer to 30 … I put together a little list of 28 things I’ve learned in 28 years. In true Kat-style it’s a mix of #allthethings – biz & personal.

Ready? Here goes:

1. It’s possible to burn rice. Not that I know from experience
2. People will always think they can do it better than you. Prove them wrong.
3. I hate wearing a bra. If it was socially acceptable to never wear one, I wouldn’t.
4. I’m always late. Yes, I know that’s a terrible trait for a wedding planner… but I’m constantly doing #allthethings y’all and that makes bein’ punctual kinda tricky.:)
5. While lavender might be soothing to others, it leaves me short of breath & covered in hives. Pretty relaxing, huh?
6. Marriage is the greatest, hardest, best, most sanctifying & thrilling adventure of my life.
7. A good book, my electric blanket & popcorn are my idea of Friday night fun.
8. If I leave my laundry in the dryer, it will not fold itself. Not that I wished for that or anything…
9. Having a CEO mindset has transformed the way I run my business.
10. Some days you just need to let yourself cry – even if you have no real “reason” to.
11. I’ve stopped fighting it … I will always have typos in my posts. Alwyas. 😉
12. I have a tendency to hoard things … I might not need it now, but what if I need it later?!
13. Dogs make everything better. Everything.
14. My coffee will always be 75% cream … this girl just can’t drink it black.
15. Marry a guy who makes you eat your veggies & never rolls his eyes at your crazy dreams.
16. You can never have too many throw pillows.
17. When you fall down, don’t quit. You never know what’s right around the corner.

19. Outsourcing can & will change your business – in the best ways.
20. Raw egg isn’t that bad for you. Really. I grew up eating raw dough #allthetime & I’m fine…:)
21. Grief will sneak up on you when you least expect it; don’t fight it. Just give yourself grace.
22. An episode of Friends makes any day better. I just need a little Joey/Chandler bromance & my world is brighter.
23. Trello is the best free system that really shouldn’t be free.
24. I come from a family of strong, independent, incredible women… and I thank God for that every day.
25. Orange will never be the new pink (insert Legally Blonde quote here).

27. If I miss writing a blog post, instagram post or newsletter – life will go on.
28. I’ll be a mom to an earthly baby one day … I don’t know how or when, but one day.
